Rev. Dr. Tegha Afuhwi Nji is a Catholic Priest of the Diocese of Buea, Cameroon. He specializes in Dogmatic/Systematic Theology, with particular research interests in the works of Joseph Ratzinger (Benedict XVI) and his philosophical and theological interlocutors, including Descartes and Nietzsche, Balthasar and De Lubac, in the dialogue of modern culture and religion, and in African theology. He is the author of many articles and book chapters. Among his forthcoming book chapters is “Imago Dei as an Eschatological Promise: Genesis 1:26-27 in Light of Ratzinger’s Augustinianism,” in Eschatology at the Beginning of the Third Millennium. He is the 2025 recipient of the Eli J. and Helen Shaheen Graduate School Award in Humanities at the University of Notre Dame. He is currently working on the publication of his award-winning dissertation, “The Burden of Election and Modern Individualism: Toward a Ratzingerian Critique.”
