Graduate School Events

St. Augustine is famous for his saying, "The New is in the Old concealed; the Old is in the New revealed." Augustine’s insight provides the theme of this year’s Virtual Theology Summit, where we will consider what it means for the mystery of Jesus Christ to be already present in the Old Testament.

Are you a working professional, caring for a family, or working in ministry? Are you hoping to pursue a master's degree from a distance or as a hybrid student but not sure how to fit it all in? Come hear from our panel of students located across the country and around the world. They will provide advice and guidance to those who are interested in earning a master's degree in Theology, Pastoral Theology, or Catholic Education from a distance.

Often a campus visit is one of the most clarifying factors in a prospective student’s discernment of graduate studies. This exclusive Visit Day will take place in the context of a retreat on Scripture led by the Augustine Institute faculty. As a prospective student, you have the opportunity to join other retreatants for Saturday only, or for the whole retreat which runs from Friday evening through Sunday morning. Our prayer is that this day of faculty talks, prayer, and fellowship with students will aid you in your consideration of theological study. This is a complimentary event for those considering on-campus or distance study at the Augustine Institute Graduate School of Theology.

Join the Augustine Institute Graduate School of Theology for a four-day experience that combines academic study with prayer, recreation, and faith-filled community. This Summer Seminar is dedicated to studying Augustine's great work, The City of God. Together with faculty and other college students from around the country, we will explore the writings of St. Augustine in the context of today’s culture. This is an apt opportunity if you are exploring the possibility of graduate studies in Theology, Pastoral Theology, or Biblical Studies, or are simply desiring to deepen your Catholic faith in an environment of intellectual and spiritual fellowship.
