Board of Trustees Members
Paul Shaughnessy is the President and Chief Executive Officer of BSI Constructors, a St. Louis-based general contracting and construction management firm founded in 1972. Under his leadership, BSI has built for many of the region’s most respected institutions and corporations. Before joining BSI in 1989, Paul worked in the mortgage finance sector as Director of Secondary Markets. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri and an MBA from Washington University.
Paul is actively involved in civic and business leadership across the St. Louis area. He serves on the Executive Committee of the St. Louis Regional Business Council, is a founding board member of the St. Louis Police Foundation, and sits on the boards of both the St. Louis Variety Club and the Commerce Bank Advisory Board.
Faith and family are central to Paul’s life. He and his wife, Laura, are active members of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Clayton, where they are involved in the marriage preparation ministry. They are the proud parents of four adult children and grandparents to six—soon to be seven—grandchildren.
