Description

"David Currie has written what may be the most important work on the difficult subject of evangelicals who are received into the Catholic Church."

–Thomas Howard, Author of Evangelical Is Not Enough

David Currie grew up in a devout Christian family in which his father was a fundamentalist preacher and, along with his mother, was also a professor at the Moody Bible Institute. Currie's entire training was steeped in the life of fundamentalist Protestantism - professors of theology, presidents of Protestant seminaries, and founders of evangelical mission agencies were frequent guests at his home. Currie himself received a degree from Trinity International University and a Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

He wrote this book in order to explain to his fundamentalist and evangelical friends and family why he became a Roman Catholic. Currie presents a clear, systematic, and understandable description of the reasons for his conversion to the Church that Christ founded. It offers a detailed discussion of the theological and doctrinal beliefs that Catholics and Evangelicals hold in common, as well as those key doctrines that separate them, particularly the Eucharist, the Pope, and Mary.
