The original Symbolon: The Catholic Faith Explained has prepared catechumens and deepened the faith of practicing Catholics for nearly a decade. To continue its mission of helping Catholics understand, live, and share the faith, the Augustine Institute will release an entirely new Symbolon in January 2024.
This project will combine compelling videography, instruction from our world-renowned faculty, and lectio divina with Dr. Tim Gray to provide a rich catechetical experience for new and existing members of the Church.
Each of the sixteen 30-minute episodes will be broken into shorter, more digestible segments to facilitate increased discussion between catechists and participants. The series will also leverage a new learning management system (LMS) to enable easier tracking of progress through the material.
Taylor Kemp
A Catholic convert and former professional soccer player, Taylor currently serves as the director of FORMED at the Augustine Institute.
Noelle Garcia
Noelle is a Catholic recording artist, speaker, wife, and mother of five children. She travels the country sharing the faith through witness, Scripture, catechesis, and music.
Symbolon will use beautiful teaching, imagery, and cinematography to captivate audiences and stir hearts. It will be filmed on-location internationally and at significant sites in the American Church, including Wisconsin's Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Oklahoma's Shrine of Blessed Stanley Rother, and many others.
“Very informative and beautifully explained. It answers a lot of my questions about the foundation of the Catholic faith. Beautiful!”
