I was born and raised in a small town called Merlin in Ontario, Canada. I attended McMaster University (Hamilton, Ontario, Canada) and completed my Bachelor’s Degree in a general Arts and Science program, with a major in Religious Studies. It was through a course on the thought of Thomas Aquinas that I became interested in pursuing the study of theology, and I went on to complete an MA from the same institution. I continued my studies, completing a Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame in 2016. My dissertation was on the topic of Augustine’s angelology, and should appear sometime next year as a book entitled Augustine’s Theology of Angels (Cambridge University Press). I am interested in the writings of the early Christian Fathers, as well as early Christian art and liturgy, but I remain most devoted to the works of St. Augustine.
