Augustine Institute Faculty: Professor Scott Powell

Scott Powell is an instructor at the Denver Catholic Biblical School, a lay division of the St. John Vianney Seminary. He has served as editor for the internationally-read CatholicNewsAgency.com, has been a frequent contributor to the National Catholic Register and co-authored the Ascension Press study guide for "Adventures in Exodus, Called to Freedom" with Dr. Tim Gray. He is also an adjunct professor at the Augustine Institute in Denver, and has spent a number of years ministering to college students through the FOCUS ministry. Scott, his wife, Annie and his daughter, Lily Avila live near Boulder, Colorado. They are the founders and directors of Camp Wojtyla, a Catholic outdoor adventure program for youth. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Theology and Philosophy from Franciscan University of Steubenville, and a Masters Degree in Sacred Scripture from the Augustine Institute in Denver. He is also a doctoral candidate at the University of South Africa.
