Tuition and FeesTuition Tuition does not cover the entire cost of the education provided at the Augustine Institute. Contributions from donors help to hold down tuition costs. The Augustine Institute is committed to good financial stewardship, controlling costs while providing a high quality graduate level education. The 2011-2012 tuition for on-campus degree and non-degree students is $625 per credit hour (cash discount available for $610) for both part-time and full-time students. There is a semesterly $100 activity fee for full-time students and $50 for part-time students. Payments must be made on or before the Monday of the week before classes begin. All courses are between two and four credits each. Those students who will be applying scholarship funds toward tuition must check the box marked "Do you wish to be considered for a scholarship or work-study?" on the last page of the Application. Once the applicant has sent in a complete application packet, a scholarship application will be sent to the applicant. Tuition to audit a course is $320 per credit hour (cash discount available for $305). There is a semesterly $50 activity fee for audit students. Books Each student must purchase the assigned texts for their courses at the Augustine Institute from a vendor of his or her choice. Booklists will be supplied in advance for all required texts and it is the responsibility of the individual to ensure that all texts are purchased before the first day of class. Housing The Augustine Institute does not offer on-campus housing; we will be happy, however, to help you connect with other incoming students who may have suitable housing available. Insurance Coverage Health care insurance is not included in the tuition charged to students. All students are responsible for their own health insurance and health care. Students are also expected to assume responsibility for auto, theft, and personal possession insurance. Withdrawal from Program A student in good standing may withdraw from the Institute during a semester by submitting a "Request for Withdrawal" to the Academic Dean. Each student is responsible for settling all outstanding tuition and fees and returning all books to the library prior to leaving the Institute. Refunds Students who withdraw from the Institute before the end of an academic semester will be charged for tuition on a pro rata basis, according to the date of withdrawal. |
